At Brouwerij Kees we sometimes do things a little differently, the barrel project 2024, India Pale Ale is a good example of this. To give an extra dimension to an IPA, we let it mature for 10 days in Single Malt whiskey barrels from Brouwerij Het Anker. These barrels were also used by Distillerij Heaven Hill and Jim Beam from America.
 
The fruity notes of the Anker Single Malt Whiskey combined with the vanilla, caramel-like notes of the bourbon barrels makes this a fantastic base for this wood-matured IPA.
 
After 10 days of wood maturation, the beer is dry-hopped with the American hop variety Sorachi Ace, which is known for its coconut and woody notes.
